Care

Make it last forever.

Always hand wash your wooden cutting or charcuterie boards. Never put a wooden board or other wood items (like salad bowls, spatulas, or spoons) in the dishwasher or submerge them in a sink full of water because they are likely to warp or crack. Gently scrub your board with a sponge and warm, soapy water. Wash both sides of the board to prevent it from drying unevenly, which could cause the board to warp. Rinse the board and dry it thoroughly with a clean dish towel or paper towels. Stand it upright on your counter to prevent any residual water from pooling, and let it air dry completely before you store it.

Use wood conditioner or board butter when your boards or utensils start to appear dull, dry, or worn. Ensure the board is clean and completely dry. Apply a generous even coat and allow it to penetrate overnight. Wipe any remaining board butter off with a lint free rag. Use regularly to maintain your boards, salad bowls, utensils, etc.

If you run out of the initial board butter that came with your board, we have some over in our shop.Â
